Golf on the PGA Tour

Nic Catterall currently works on the PGA Tour in the USA, coaching multiple tour professionals how to enhance their performance.

This is achieved by correcting musculoskeletal dysfunction and enabling performance utilising strength and conditioning.

Athletes are thoroughly assessed and placed through 4 developmental stages.

This ensures the correct foundations have been laid to build a stable base upon that will provide a strong, repeatable and fluent swing.

Stage 1

The first stage identifies an athlete’s performance baselines. The athlete will undergo Musculoskeletal, Strength and Fitness, Nutritional and hydration, testing procedures. This provides baselines to work from and aids in goals setting with the identification of strengths and weaknesses

Stage 2

The second stage sees the implementation of programs that improve upon the weaknesses identified in the athletes performance or game. Once programs are implemented, a secondary focus will be on recovery methods.

Stage 3

The third stage reassesses the baselines taken to gauge improvements and to implement new schedules and programs based of the new set of statistical results.

Stage 4

The fourth reassess goals in place and what the outlook will be for the next year if the athlete continues on with the Elite Golf Athlete Program.
